The Knox Socialist League is a grassroots, community-led organization based in Mount Vernon, Ohio. We are a big tent leftist collective made up of anarchists, social democrats, socialists, and communists who believe in dismantling systems of exploitation and building a world grounded in solidarity, equality, and true democracy.

We reject the rule of the billionaire class, corporate domination, and a political system rigged to serve capital over people. Power belongs in the hands of the working class—not in boardrooms or backroom deals. That’s why we organize from the ground up, confronting injustice where it starts: in our workplaces, our neighborhoods, and our daily lives.

Our work includes fighting for housing as a human right, defending labor and tenant power, advancing universal healthcare, and demanding urgent action on climate collapse. We believe real, lasting change doesn’t come from the top—it begins with us, right here in Knox County.

Through direct action, political education, and mutual aid, we’re building the foundations of a liberated future. We also publish RED STATE, our newsletter amplifying the voices, struggles, and victories of local people rising up against injustice.
